Having previously set up and successfully floated a niche recruitment business on the London Stock Exchange in 2007, Barnaby went on to launch Venquis with the vision of creating a pan European staffing solutions business. Venquis now operates with clients across Northern Europe delivering projects in technology, data and automation from its delivery centre in Leicester. He is extremely well connected and has a confident, approachable leadership style.
CFO, LHI
Ed has been CFO for the LHI Group for the past 5 years, and a Director of their German subsidiary, to which LHi have offices in Munich and Berlin. Ed has practical experience as to the pros and cons of operating in the German market, the cultural nuances that you won’t always have in a UK based office. LHi have 3 brands (Technology, Life Sciences, and Renewable energy) operating in the German market, blending a mix of both in country and remote recruitment services.
General Manager, APSCo Germany
Thomas André Sola has more than 15 years of experience in the German-speaking recruitment market for permanent positions, executive search, freelance and temporary employment. After André convinced himself of the advantages of APSCo membership as managing director of a member company, he made himself available in 2021 as managing director for the further development and expansion of APSCo in Germany and Switzerland.
André entered the recruitment industry in 2006 at Hays, one of the world's largest recruitment companies. Five years later, he co-founded EarthStream Global, an innovative HR services start-up, which he successfully built and expanded until it was integrated into the TechStream Group.
Recruitment in the qualified expert sector is André's passion and he is committed to supporting all APSCo members - from start-ups to SMEs and international companies. Its mission is to support the members of APSCo Germany, regardless of their size, in the further development of their company, as well as to continuously increase the quality and image of the professional recruitment market in Germany.
