Nicola Ihnatowicz is a partner in the Employment and Pensions Department at Trowers & Hamlins LLP, and specialises in all aspects of human resources and employment law for employers and recruitment businesses.
Nicola specialises in supporting businesses to become "Employers of the Future". Her expertise includes advising on sustainable workforces, achieving inclusivity and business transformation. She also supports employers with difficult employee relations matters, such as changing terms and conditions, managing stress at work, reasonable adjustments, discrimination and harassment investigations, and restructures and redundancies.
Nicola regularly advises and represents clients on Employment Tribunal matters and has recently dealt with complex claims for discrimination and harassment, holiday pay, whistleblowing and workplace stress. She is a frequent speaker at seminars and conferences, including the firm's weekly online Q&A "Trowers Tuesday".
Nicola chairs the firm's Social Impact Committee and has experience as a charity trustee.

Johnny is a former professional Rugby League player who has played over 200 Super League games. He is a former junior Great Britain player and has represented England and Ireland at international level. Johnny played for Halifax, Sheffield Eagles and Huddersfield Giants at club level and was part of the 1998 Sheffield Eagles team who defeated the mighty Wigan Warriors at Wembley stadium to win the Challenge Cup.
Nowadays, Johnny is the owner of Minds Matter Ltd. Their aims are to reduce stigma, promote awareness around Mental Health. Through our ‘Mind Gym’ Mental Fitness programme they're committed to giving people the tools and strategies to make a real difference to their wellbeing. Johnny says he used to be a typical Yorkshireman, "strong in the arm and thick in the head!" His Mental Health journey changed that, realising that speaking out can help others.
