Neil joined the financial markets business of the bank in 1995 having graduated with a BA Hons in economics and an MA in international economics from the University of Essex. He has worked for RBS and subsequently NatWest for 29 years, currently as part of the Desk Strategy team, and during his career has worked closely with former MPC member Marian Bell, collaborating on analysis of global real interest rates and inflation trends, which was subsequently published by the Bank of England.
Whilst working for the Bank, Neil has specialised in UK economic analysis, the Euroland economy and also FX and interest rate markets. He currently offers his thoughts and opinions regarding the economies of the G10, interest rate and foreign exchange markets. In this capacity, Neil regularly speaks at corporate events and seminars, hosts a regular monthly conference call for clients, attends client meetings and writes research on all of these subjects for clients.”

Dean Joined Natwest in 2008, with 8 years’ experience in ABL roles at independent finance companies.
He’s now spent 16 years in previous roles which include restructuring, corporate asset based leading, 3 years working in property restructuring in Dublin Ireland and corporate relationship director roles. In 2022 he stepped into his first new business role, in 2023 he took a 12-month sabbatical: travelled to 20 counties, did over 60 dives in Asia and South America, finished the trip by getting married in Vegas (as there was no money left for a wedding in the UK!)
He is now back working in the working capital growth team, focusing on Trade Finance, Invoice Finance and Inventory facilities for new and existing clients.
