The Department of Education published the Child and Family Social Worker Workforce Government Consultation Response in October 2023 which set out the national rules on the use of agency social workers in local authority children's services and confirmed their commitment to introducing statutory guidance.

The DfE will be attending a virtual roundtable on Monday 19^th February 2024 11am to 12pm to discuss the consultation on the draft statutory guidance with our Social Work members. This will be your opportunity to feedback to the DfE, please reserve you place here.
