Earlier this year Social Work England launched 2 consultations, each on a set of education and training standards that Social Work England proposes to use to approve certain specialist social work courses. These courses are approved for mental health professionals (AMHP) and approved mental capacity professionals (AMCP). Both consultations closed on 1 August 2022 and Social Work England has now published its response. This includes what they did to reach their proposals, a summary of the consultation responses, and final versions of the education and training approval standards.
