APSCo female leaders recognised in SIA Women in Staffing 150

Two female leaders from the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) are celebrating having made the 2022 list of SIA’s Women in Staffing 150.

Ann Swain, Global CEO of APSCo and Melanie Forbes, Managing Director of APSCo OutSource, both made the list which recognises the remarkable female leaders whose talents, achievements and passion drive their success and that of their business.

This is the latest in a number of recognitions that both Swain and Forbes have attained, with Mel making the Staffing 100 Europe list earlier this year while Ann Swain has retained her position on the SIA Hall of Fame.

Ann commented:

Being recognised on any SIA list is an honour and I’m proud to be part of the Women in Staffing 150 once again. As a business, APSCo is committed to driving equality and diversity for everyone in recruitment and that includes addressing the gender imbalance. Recruitment has historically been known as a ‘lads’ sector, but that has changed substantially. Our APSCo Embrace initiative which focuses on bolstering equity, diversity and inclusion (ED&I) in recruitment through a range of support including our Inclusive+ Recruiter training has proven valuable to several staffing firms. I’m proud to have been part of this movement and I look forward to seeing many more female leaders on the list next year.

Melanie added:

I’m honoured to have been recognised alongside so many other influential female leaders in the staffing sector. Having spent my career in the recruitment outsourcing sector, I’ve seen how diversity and gender equality have improved and to see so many women in staffing recognised is a testament to how far the sector has come.
