Open consultation Off-payroll working (IR35) – calculation of PAYE liability in  - cases of non-compliance

During this session Phil will outline HMRC proposal is a new ‘set off mechanism’ to be introduced into the Off Payroll Working legislation to prevent double taxation in cases of non-compliance, subject to consultation.

Open consultation - Tougher consequences for promoters of tax avoidance

Rep from HMRC

As part of their drive to stamp out tax avoidance, including in the umbrella industry, HMRC are consulting on (i) a potential criminal offences for promoters of tax avoidance  who fail to comply with a HMRC “Stop” notice; and (ii) expediting the disqualification of directors of companies promoting avoidance.
